The basic building block of traffic management or an IT System is vehicle detection. It all has to begin with knowing traffic flow, volume and placement. Now, with TAPCO’S own “Road Eyes”, the process has been made much easier. Available as a wireless or hardwired version, this magnetic detection system moves traffic technology ahead with simplicity and value. Road Eyes use a passive sensing technology to detect vehicles and can be powered with 120V or by an easy to install Road Eye battery.

When 120V power is difficult to provide or in remote areas, these units can easily be mounted with a Road Eye battery in a 6" X 6" X 4" Nema cabinet and be completely self contained. Road Eyes will function at a range of up to 500 feet LOS and can operate a wide range of traffic control devices.
